The PDL Pumas are going to take part again in Oxfam Trailwalker, the world’s greatest team challenge to help overcome poverty and injustice. I am also going to ask if you could get involved too. Oxfam Trailwalker is being held on Saturday 14th April & Sunday 15th April at Lake Taupo.

Oxfam Trailwalker is tough. Our challenge is to complete 100kms within 36 hours as a team of four. This is no relay. We start together, stick together and finish together! We shall collectively be completing the equivalent of ten full marathons and a complete ascent of Mt Cook – all in one weekend!

It’s going to be tough and take months of training. To even reach the start line, our team will have completed months of training. We will have complete the equivalent of walking all the way to Australia before we even reach the Start! Don’t worry! I am not asking you to take part with me. But you can help to keep us going.

Oxfam is working with some of the most disadvantaged South Pacific people in Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Fiji & Samoa. A lack of basic services such as health care, safe water, schools, electricity and telephones remains a serious problem for many communities in the Pacific. By raising money for Oxfam New Zealand we will be making a tremendous difference to people’s lives throughout the South Pacific.

I am asking if your would help sponsor the PDL Pumas team. A typical donation of $100 would amount to $1 for every kilometre we walk. I can provide you with a tax receipt, so that this need only cost you $67.
