Trailwalker Training

Every weekend the PDL Pumas team come together for a team training event.

In February the entire PDL Pumas team went to Taupo for the Oxfam Trailwalker Team Training Weekend. We did the entire Eastern part of the Trailwalker course. Over the weekend we walked 35km over
  • part of Leg 1 from Taupo to Huka Falls
  • all of Leg 6 from Huka Falls to the Taupo Gliding Club
  • all of Leg 7 from the Taupo Gliding Club around the back of Mt Tauhara to the Landcorp Tauhara Station
  • part of Leg 8 from Landcorp Tauhara Station to Lake Taupo
Around Auckland we have trained on the Point to Point Walkway, and the Coast to Coast Walkway. During March we plan to do some training on Waiheke Island. Each of us has walked a total of 600km this year in training for the 2007 Trailwalker.
